Speedboat Tour - Bay of Camamu
If you want see as much as possible of the Bay of Camamu, with its pristine mangroves, countless islands and authentic fishing villages, there’s no better way than a speedboat tour. You can choose either a shared tour with others, or charter a private speedboat, giving you privacy and flexibility. One of the benefits of a fast boat is a visit to the picturesque Tremembe Falls which lay at the southern end of the bay. You have more options if you decide to charter a speedboat, and we can help you decide which stops you would most enjoy, including a fresh lobster and seafood lunch!

Speedboat Tour - Boipeba Island
This tour to the Island of Boipeba is a great option for those who want to see the best of Boipeba in one day, without having to actually stay there. Stops include the coral reefs and natural pools of Morere beach, the Village of Old Boipeba for lunch, Ponta dos Castelhanos Beach, and the village of Canavieiras.

Schooner Tour - Bay of Camamu
This is a party style tour that is very popular all over Brazil. Cruise slowly around the bay on a large wooden “schooner”, visiting the more popular sights around Barra Grande, such as Pedra Furada, Sapinho, Ilha de Goio, and Campinho. This tour is a good choice if you’re looking unwind, maybe have a drink or two, and get a feel for the Bahian culture, with its music, dance, and friendly people. Also a good choice for singles!

Quad Bike Rental
Renting a quad is one of the most popular activities on the Peninsula, mostly due to the beautiful trail that runs from Taipu de Fora to Cassange Lake, offering stunning views of the coast. We can arrange for the quad to be dropped off in the morning and picked up late afternoon, giving you plenty of time to explore the peninsula at your own pace. This is a self-guided activity (though you can hire a guide), and 2 people can ride comfortably on one quad.
Electric Bike Rental
Electric "fat tire" bikes are new to Barra Grande, and an excellent way to see the sights of the peninsula in a more eco-friendly way. They are easy to operate, totally silent, and have a long battery life. Most important of all... you can actually ride these on the beach! You can rent by the day or by the half day.
Jeep Tour of the Marau Peninsula
This is a guided tour in one of the popular converted pick-up trucks, called jardineiras here on the peninsula. This tour stops at the most popular attractions along the marau peninsula, including the natural pools of Taipu de Fora, Lagoa Azul (Blue Lake), the Giant Bromeliad Trail and Cassange Lake.

SCUBA Diving / Snorkeling - Taipu de Fora
Taipu de Fora Beach is famous for its cristaline waters and its natural tidepools. It makes for awesome snorkeling with mask and fins, but it's even more fun SCUBA diving along the reef. Even if you're not certified, you can get a "resort certification" and be diving on the same day. For experienced divers, they offer night dives, which is exeptional if you happen to be here on a full moon!
City Tour of Marau Peninsula in Private Car
If you really want to see the best of the peninsula, there’s no better way than with a guide who really knows the area. You will see more, learn more, and do more things in one day than you can with any other type of excursion. Customize your trip to include snorkeling at low tide on Taipu de Fora Beach, lunch in Barra Grande, and a locals beach bar at sunset, just to give examples. Highly recommended!
Rafting, Zip-Line & Rappel
At the southern border of the Marau Peninsula lies the beautiful and historic Rio de Contas, and just up river is the small town of Taboquinhas, home to many of the region’s eco-adventure activites. The rafting here is top-notch, combining class 3 and class 4 rapids with some breathtaking scenery. The same outfitters also do rappel and zip-lining, which can be done separately or as part of a package. We will arrange the entire trip for you, including transportation and lunch.
Atlantic Rainforest Nature Trail
This is a guided activity through an ecological preserve inside of the “Mata Atlantica”, offered in Portuguese and/or English. The trail sits on top of a mountain, offering stunning views of both the ocean and the bay. There is a working acai plantation with a small processing plant, offering a tasty sampling session at the end! It’s an easy trail which takes about an hour, not including the tasting session. Great for the whole family!
Horseback Riding - Beaches of Marau
Ever dream of horseback riding along a beautiful, deserted beach? We can make it happen for you! We have arrange this tour directly with the horse owners, and are the only ones offering this activity on the peninsula.
